Engine 56 visits the Kids at Imagination Station 5/13/11

A crew from Station 56 took E-56 to Imagination Station to talk to the kids about fire safety. The kids got to play on the engine and practice shooting water from the hose. Below are some pictures from the visit along with a short video.

  1. Sheryl Rodeback says:

Love the fact our volunteer fire department takes time out of their days to visit children at a daycare and show them the importance of safety. Way to go guys!!! My grandson was probably one of the most facinated of the children, thank you for sharing what you do to protect everyone.

    • Ms. Rodeback,
Thank you for visiting our website and viewing the pictures of our visit to Imagination Station. We are very grateful of the continued support we receive from our community, it is their support and donations that allow us to continue to serve the City. We try to fulfill every request for visits we receive. That is part of our duty to the residents of Indian Harbour Beach. It is very rewarding when you see these kids light up when they see firefighters and the apparatus. We try to visit all the schools and daycare’s in our City to not only promote fire safety but to show the young children that they don’t have to be afraid of the firefighters in their gear.
Thank you for appreciating what we do and thank you for your very nice comments.
