2015 Statistics

All of these statistics are from the 2015 calendar year.

The Indian Harbour Beach Volunteer Fire Department has responded to 105 calls for service. Of those calls, 11 were fires, 3 rescues, 17 hazardous conditions, 21 service calls, 2 lightning strike investigations, and 50 false alarms.

 

calls The most common day we received a call was on Thursdays with 18 calls followed by Wednesdays with 17 calls.

 

The Most common time for a call was 1000-1059 with 11 calls followed by 1700-1759 and 1900-1959 with 10 calls each.

 

 

We have trained 40 times. Trainings included roof ventilation, search and rescue, marina training, boat fires, hazardous conditions, fast attacks, mutual aid with other departments, and trained with Melbourne Beach VFD and Indialantic FD with the Brevard County Sheriffs Office STAR program!

 

We have been requested to attend and attended 40 special requests. These include Ocean Breeze’s 50th anniversary, Ocean Breeze’s Math and Science Night, Crystal’s Walk, City of Indian Harbour Beach Recreation Summer Camp’s Water Day, The City of Indian Harbour Beach 60th anniversary, and many more.

 

The 40 firefighters, 3 non-combatants, and 10 auxiliary members have donated over 14,000 man hours to help protect this wonderful city.
